New year Resolutions

A New Year Message

I’m not keen on New Year’s Resolutions because they imply we are not good enough as we are.
They rarely come from a deep understanding of why we do what we do, which is the best catalyst for positive and sustained change. They imply we need to give something up or make changes in order to be good enough.

But what if you are enough as you are? (and you are!)

I’ve had a rollercoaster of a year, like many others, I suspect. There have been some great times, and there have been some more challenging times. Some really challenging times.

My understanding is that challenges help to show us what we need to see and understand about ourselves.  It’s easy to feel like a victim of life, but turning it around to see what is really happening and why is empowering.  Sometimes the deeper understanding comes fast, and sometimes it is slower to dawn. But when it unfolds, the changes needed are easier to see and bring into effect.

This journey of life is wild!

Our biggest challenge is to embrace it all, to discover and grow. However, that doesn’t mean you weren’t enough before.  We’re all on this journey of life, and it’s wild!

Rather than a resolution, I want something inspiring. So this year I have chosen 3 words to uplift me and carry me into the New Year.

My words are freedomcompassion and joy.

My intention is to hold fast to those, especially when the inevitable challenges come.

What 3 uplifting words can you choose? So far, I have seen people choose adventure, self-love, listen, strength, focus, worthy, peace, acceptance, forgiveness, change and much more.

Wishing you all the very best for the New Year and beyond.  Always remember you are enough, even when the going is tough.  And that I’m here, cheering you on!

Warmest wishes,
Sara x
